Forma Machine, LLC was founded in February 2022 in South Pittsburg, Tennessee. We started with a clear vision: leverage deep expertise in foundry tooling and pattern making to build a strong, sustainable manufacturing company while expanding into advanced precision machining.
Today, our team brings a combined 44 years of hands-on experience in designing and building high-quality foundry patterns and tooling. From intricate small patterns to large tooling over 12 feet, we produce wood, aluminum, plastic, and composite patterns and core boxes that help foundries across the country deliver consistent, high-quality castings in the pipe, valve, pump, mining, and municipal markets.
In 2025 we invested in a state-of-the-art automated 5-axis machining center dedicated to producing complex, high-tolerance components. This advanced equipment is now fully operational and ready to take on new work.

Jimmy Lea
Founding Member / Business and Financial
Jimmy is a machinist, CNC programmer, and Business leader. Jimmy's background as a Machinist, CNC programmer, and Business owner gives him unique insight. He helps lead Forma Machine with his extensive business and sales experience. His entrepreneurial spirit and desire to create inspired the team to build Forma Machine.
Richard Marr
Founding Member / Pattern Design and Shop Management
Richard is our Lead Pattern designer, an experienced machinist, and a CAD designer. Richard has over 28 years of experience building patterns and foundry tooling. He has created tooling ranging from inches to over 12 feet. Richard's knowledge of pattern work gives Forma Machine the confidence to produce any foundry tooling needed by the nation's foundries.
